“Learning through active helping“ is the motto of the voluntary service program Weltwärts for young people between the ages of 18 and 28.
For those interested in volunteering in developing countries, the program offers a chance to acquire international experience, intercultural skills, and professional qualifications.

Linking sanitation, health and education
Research and practical experience have illuminated the link between sanitation, health and education. However, sanitation facilities in many schools in Southern Africa are in a poor and neglected condition. Due to this situation, alternative cost-effective wastewater concepts, such as DEWATS School Based Sanitation, can play a major role in the struggle to improve health and hygiene in schools.
